Alpine Classic properties are where are exacting standards begin. In many cases the only differentiating factor between Alpine Classic and Alpine Luxe is size. The quality of materials, the interior design and in many cases the available facilities are exceptionally good.

Servicing an Alpine Classic property requires the same caring attention to detail that a booking in any one of our properties demand. Again, because the properties are in many cases a lot smaller than our Luxe portfolio, they don’t demand the same size of teams, and this is the main criteria that determines the difference between service provision in a Classic or Luxe property.

Welcome to our newest brand Lagom, a portfolio of luxury properties beautifully interior designed and well-located. The Swedish principle of Lagom has no direct translation but is best described as ‘Not too much, not too little … just the right amount’.

For those wanting to make a conscious choice, these options are the perfect luxury alternative.

In the name of not too much, we provide the Lagom portfolio with reduced service options. These elegant apartments are only available on an accommodation only and self-catered basis. We will not provide these on a catered basis. This does not mean that you do not have choice … in fact through our service slider technology (coming soon) we open up a number of smaller choices (such as the frequency of housekeeping and whether you have toiletries in the property or not) to our guests to allow you to choose what is just enough to you.

The Jewel of the Four Valleys

Verbier is World-renowned for Its Incredible Off-piste Skiing, Its South-facing, Sun-drenched Aspect, and Its Eclectic Party Scene.

The Mountain

Verbier is the jewel in the crown of the world-renowned Four Valleys ski area in south west Switzerland, famous for its extensive and varied piste network and as an off-piste mecca. Rising 1,800m from the resort to an altitude of 3,300m, the ski area provides single-ticket access to the Four Valleys network with 410km of pistes and numerous patrolled off-piste itineraries for the more experienced skier.

There is no better way to explore the hidden powder caches, high altitude glaciers, and steep couloirs than hiring a guide for the day, or why not take a heli-skiing trip to enjoy some of the Alps’ most stunning views and rewarding descents. Meanwhile, in Summer, you’ll find a plethora of beautiful hikes and exhilarating bike trails criss-crossing the stunning landscape.

Verbier is renowned for its après ski and world class on-mountain restaurants. You’ll find delicious dishes at Le Dahu, Carrefour or La Marmotte to be enjoyed on the sunny terrace, and many other spots to stop off at for an Aperol, hot chocolate or vin chaud. If skiing is not your thing, there are numerous other activities to keep you busy while you enjoy all the comforts of one of our luxury chalets in Verbier.

The Village

Spreading out from Place Centrale in the heart of Verbier, the village is very pretty; even the taller, newer buildings are designed in typical Swiss chalet style. Bubbling mountain streams cut through populated areas, and the distant, majestic peaks are ever-present on the horizon.

As you ski right back down to the town after a good day on the slopes, a vibrant après scene welcomes you. Le Rouge is a great ski-in restaurant that offers delicious, quality food and also lively après ski. Le Farinet also has an incredible live music après, and afterwards the party continues late into the night at their underground club, South – where great DJs can be found most nights of the week.

For dinner, visitors to Verbier are spoilt for choice. For a unique and delicious fine dining dinner experience in the heart of Verbier, look no further than Le 22 by Crock No Name, where creative, modern dishes are concocted using seasonal, local ingredients. Chalet d’Adrien at the foot of the Savoleyres ski lift is the definition of ‘best of both worlds’, with traditional Swiss cuisine or fine dining both available side by side, and arguably takes the prize for the best views in town from its vast, panoramic terrace.

On-the-ground Expertise

From the moment you book your holiday with Bramble Ski, you’ll have access to our excellent pre-arrivals team with their wealth of local knowledge. From nabbing you the best table in town for your family Christmas dinner, to pre-empting that much needed sports massage, to arranging a memorable birthday surprise – they can take care of the finer details of your trip ahead of time, so that once you arrive all you have to do is relax.

Our service levels have been designed to match a range of requirements. For sublime fine-dining and unrivalled in-chalet service throughout your stay, our catered properties are the perfect choice. If privacy and flexibility are your priorities, choose from our bed and breakfast, self-catered and accommodation only options.

Bramble Ski is unique in employing in-house ski instructors who double up as concierges. They have all the best on-mountain and in-resort tips, from advising you on where to seek that untouched powder to where to find the best fondue. They will also be on hand to assist you with making bookings or reservations throughout your stay.

Verbier Village Life

Verbier is Consistently Voted in the Top Ten Global Ski Resorts for Its Combination of World Class Skiing, Après Ski, and Nightlife.

With its beautiful wooden luxury chalets and apartments, Verbier still has a traditional Alpine village feel, yet offers a surprisingly wide range of shops, bars, restaurants, spas and clubs all conveniently located around the Place Centrale.

Après-ski & Nightlife

On the mountain, at Ruinettes, is Mouton Noir – where you can enjoy a glass of champagne accompanied by stunning panoramic views and excellent DJs before skiing down. Then, prop your skis outside Le Rouge whilst you sip a cocktail on the sunny terrace. As the sun sets, you can dance the evening away to the live bands at Le Farinet’s renowned après ski bar, then head downstairs to its raucous underground club, South. Farm club is another famous haunt, an institution founded in 1971 with an intimate and quirky atmosphere.

Restaurants

Verbier has a huge number of excellent restaurants to choose from, whether you prefer traditional Swiss cuisine served in a mountain ‘cabane’ with a toboggan ride home under the stars, sushi served in a modern Japanese-style restaurant, or a fine dining experience seated at the chef’s table. We’d be happy to recommend and book you a table on your private chef’s night off if you are staying at a catered property, or if you’ve chosen a self-catered stay, to assist with arranging a schedule of reservations for you.

Wellness

Besides its exhilarating activities and hedonistic nightlife, Verbier can be a haven of rest and relaxation too. Many of our properties have their own spas, hot tubs or swimming pools, and we can arrange luxurious in-chalet treatments for you. Otherwise, indulge in a trip to a stunning hotel spa, such as the one at La Cordée des Alpes, available to non-guests upon booking one of their soothing treatments, such as the volcanic hot stone massage. The spa at the art-deco Experimental Hotel has an amazing array of facials designed in collaboration with French skincare brand Biologique Recherche. For those who prioritise staying active, head to Inspire Studio, which plays host to a range of classes for all levels.

Winter in Verbier

Whether You're an Avid Skier or Fancy a Break From the Slopes, There is So Much to Do in Verbier.

Skiing in the Four Valleys is an exhilarating experience. But there is so much more to enjoy too, from an unforgettable heli-skiing trip to the magical experience of night-time, after dinner sledding with the family.

Skiing

For a true insider’s perspective, we asked our Verbier-based Bramble Ski Pro Luke for his best recommendations for a day on the slopes. Looking for an on-piste cruise? He recommends the Piste de l`Ours in Veysonnaz. “I like taking the Fontanet red run back home to Verbier as it’s always less busy than the M25” (an affectionate nickname given to the busiest piste in Verbier) “both sides of Plan-du-fou are also great pistes. The black run down to Prarion is super steep, and the red run to Siviez has so many cool features and hits.” All of our BSPs are well versed in the terrain, meaning you spend less time following the crowds and more time skiing the best slopes in the resort. For those wanting to make fresh tracks, Luke suggests “Greppon Blanc itinerary; a nice adventure away from the powder hounds”.

Non-skiing Activities

If you aren’t a skier or snowboarder, or you just want to try something new, Verbier has so much more to offer too. Don’t be fooled; sledging is no less of an adrenaline sport here. Try the 10km luge at Savoleyres, one of the longest of its kind in Europe and certainly not for the faint hearted. There are also a plethora of other activities to try, including snowshoe hikes weaving up through the woodlands, paragliding from Ruinettes, and heli-tours for a bird’s-eye perspective across this stunning resort. Please speak in-resort to your concierge or talk to our pre-arrivals manager to pre-book any of these activities.

Summer in Verbier

The Alps Are a Remarkable Place to Visit in the Summer.

The mountains hold an altogether different allure when you are surrounded by abundant green meadows strewn with wild flowers and dwarfed by snow-capped mountains. The resort is significantly quieter in the summer months than during the winter, so that visitors can relish that rare combination of exciting activities and peace and quiet.

Biking

With 23 enduro trails, 500km of cross-country tracks and numerous paths to ride, as well as the bikepark containing 19km of downhill trails of varying degrees of difficulty – it is no wonder that Verbier attracts bikers of all ability levels throughout summer.

Hiking

Trail running and hiking is incredibly popular too, and Verbier has a great selection of marked paths to suit all abilities and ages. From family-friendly routes with panoramic views, to demanding hikes to conquer staggering peaks, you will find your ideal hike here – the perfect way to exercise, take in the fresh air and enjoy the alpine scenery.

Climbing

In summer, the rocky cliff faces become a haven for climbers, too. There are Via Ferrata routes consisting of rungs, ladders, and bridges which can help even lesser-experienced climbers scale the mountain; a safe yet adrenaline-inducing experience sure to give you a great sense of accomplishment when you reach the top.

Summer Camps

For children, there are numerous mountain camps on offer for all ages. Our team would be delighted to recommend summer camps, who provide sports, music, and language workshops to keep youngsters engaged, educated and entertained.

Events in Verbier

Winter Events

Verbier’s Place Centrale really comes to life on New Year’s Eve. The streets are flooded with revellers gathering at the centre of town to welcome in the new year. The sky is filled with fireworks and popping champagne corks. If you would rather not be in the thick of it, the Farinet Lounge Bar has the perfect vantage point overlooking the celebrations. Your concierge would be happy to help with reserving tickets. The Freeride World Tour Final is held in Verbier every year, where some of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders gather to compete in a daring freeride down the legendary north face of the Bec des Rosses. A spectacle of skill, experience and fearlessness, watch the competitors tackle the imposing descent, and then enjoy the street party in Verbier that follows.

Summer Events

From Europe’s largest E-bike festival, to the prestigious Verbier International Show Jumping Competition, to the Inspire Yoga Festival – a broad range of interests are covered in Verbier’s jam-packed summer events schedule. One of the most notable cultural events of the summer is the Verbier Festival, gathering some of the most renowned names in classical music, and fans from across the globe. Just a little further afield is the Montreux Jazz Festival, an annual event set on the shores of glistening Lake Geneva, which has previously been graced by the likes of Lionel Richie, Mary J Blige and Jamie XX to name just a few. During the summer there are also many festivals in the valley where you have an opportunity to witness local traditions and culture. The locals of Val de Bagnes are particularly passionate about their cows, their cheese, and their wine. Throughout the spring, summer, and autumn months there are festivals and events to celebrate all of these. Most notable is the Raclette Festival in September, where local dairies showcase their delicious cheeses.
