On July 18th 2016, Megève will welcome the world famous Tour de France to town. The riders will cross the finish line of Stage 18 in the centre of the village after a gruelling mountain stage. The tour will then roll out of the village for the start of Stage 20.
A highlight of the summer calendar is the Megève Edmond de Rothschild CSI*** International Show-Jumping Festival. Some of the finest equestrians from around the globe gather in July for six glamorous days of show-jumping in the village centre.

Megève is close to Sallanches railway station, just 12km away, which allows easy access to Megève by rail from London, Paris, and other major European cities. There are direct trains from Paris to Sallanches at weekends and there are also direct trains to Sallanches from Geneva.
