Discover the resort with us

So, what is so special about Courchevel? What activities can you do there? How are the pistes? Read on to discover our highlights of this beautiful resort.

Making up part of the extensive Les Trois Vallées ski area (the largest in the world) visitors can enjoy 600km of ski slopes, comprising over 180 green and blue runs and over 140 red and black – all to the backdrop of magnificent views.

Courchevel is ideal for snow sports enthusiasts of all levels, with wide north-facing pistes making for satisfying runs whatever your ability.

The dedicated ‘Zen’ areas are designed specifically for learners, and there is a family snow park featuring an airbag for safely mastering the tricks you’ve always wanted to try.

More confident skiers can test their speed on the 3.3 km l’Eclipse race track, newly created for the 2023 World Championships and with a vertical drop of 970m from start to finish.

If you’re on the hunt for untouched off-piste powder, head to the Bel Aire area above Courchevel Moriond for relatively easy and safe terrain, or branch off from the famous Grand Couloir piste towards the Petit or Croix de Verdons Couloirs – if you aren’t opposed to a bit of a hike.

Further afield, discover the magnificent glaciers of the Vanoise. Try the descent towards Méribel or Pralognan from the Gébroulaz glacier for an experience equally exhilarating as it is scenic.

As always, it is recommended that you hire an experienced guide to help you get the most out of your off-piste adventures. Your concierge can gladly assist you in booking a highly-qualified and knowledgeable guide, guaranteeing you an unforgettable day on the mountain.

Seeking a thrill? Then sledging down the extreme 3km Moriond racing piste is not to be missed! If you’re less of an adrenaline junkie, take a calmer husky sledge excursion, or hop into a horse-drawn carriage and embark on a scenic ride through the snowy landscape under cosy fur blankets.

See things from a new angle and take to the skies with a sunrise hot air balloon ride –  and experience the majesty of the Alps from above. You can even take flying lessons from the Altiport, sure to give you a kick if you’ve always dreamed of manning an aircraft. You can claim afterwards that you learnt at one of the world’s most treacherous airports – due to its short length, altitude, incline and weather conditions!

Courchevel is a gastronomes dream. With the highest concentration of Michelin-starred restaurants in any resort, tastebuds will be treated to the finest cuisine from France and beyond.

Unmissable restaurants on the slopes include Le Chalet de Pierres which serves authentic and delicious Savoyard cuisine, and Le Cap Horn, where you’ll dine on excellent seafood and sushi.

In the village, head to Le 1947 at Hotel Cheval Blanc, which holds the maximum 3 Michelin stars, Le Kintessence at Hotel Le K2 for excellent atmosphere and aesthetics, and Le Chabichou at Hotel Le Chabichou for classic flavours delivered with flair.

There are many more top-notch restaurants to choose from, whether you’re after fine dining, fusion food or Savoyard specialities.

Let us organise a very special lunch for you at La Bouitte, a 3 Michelin-starred restaurant nestled in a traditional mountain farmhouse-style building in Saint-Martin-de-Belleville. You’ll access it by a scenic 35-minute helicopter ride, and then be taken on a gastronomic journey by the talented local father and son chef team.

The highest altitude village of the four that comprise Courchevel, 1850 is defined by its luxurious shops, restaurants and chalets. Peruse the glittering storefronts after dark following a day of skiing, when the village really comes alive.
Lovers of couture will be spoilt for choice. The streets are peppered with designer shops including Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Hermes, as well as independent boutiques and exceptional jewellers such as those occupying the Espace Diamante.
There is even a ski-in, ski-out Moncler store just next to the Chalet de Pierre restaurant at the side of the Verdons piste, if you can’t choose between spending a day skiing or shopping!

Long lunches on sunny terraces transform into open-air parties as the day goes on at on-piste restaurants. The iconic La Folie Douce, perched above Courchevel and Méribel, combines great DJ sets, daily shows and live performances, attracting a young and fun crowd.

As night falls, head to La Mangeoire, a restaurant that transforms into a dancefloor after midnight, or to an extravagant themed night at the iconic and glamorous Les Caves.

Need some R&R after a full day of skiing (or a full night out on the town)?

We can organise soothing professional treatments for you in your own chalet, for ultimate ease and relaxation. However, if you are craving an entire day of escapism, on top of its notable restaurant, Le Chabichou has a beautiful spa and pool – making it well worth a visit.

There are also a plethora of other luxurious spas to try. The Six Senses spa with its beautiful design, excellent facilities and juice bar, La Spa de l’Apogee with unique facials by Prairie and La Sivolière’s spa Odacité, complete with a balneotherapy pool and a range of massage treatments.
