The Espace Killy creates the link between Val d’Isère and Tignes, forming 300 km of immaculate, well-groomed slopes. What’s on 

If you are hoping to escape to the Alps over the Christmas holidays, the whole family will delight when stumbling upon Val d’Isères very own Christmas village, a winter wonderland filled with market stalls, vin chaud and hot chocolates, live music, and torchlit descents! Join the crowd on Christmas Eve, wander into the village, listen to the carolers, and surprise the children with a special appearance from the one and only Papa Noel.  New Year’s Eve is another event that this particular resort does not take lightly; following tradition, everyone gathers in the centre of town for the big countdown. Revel in the excitement with your loved ones as the clock strikes midnight, and pop open a bottle of champagne as the fireworks light up the sky.

Après-ski and nightlife 

If you have come to Val d’Isère for its world-famous Après scene, you will not be disappointed. In December, La Folie douce is notoriously known for its opening party, think live performances, champagne spraying, guest DJs, and wild dance moves! No matter when you choose to visit Val d’Isère, you will always find a sunny terrace for a well-deserved end-of-day drink or a buzzing après-ski spot. Cocoricos is the perfect post-ski party scene with high-end DJs and some of the best live music in the Alps. The party doesn’t have to stop at après; for those of you wishing to carry on, Dick’s Tea Bar is as good as it gets, with house music playing from 11 pm an array of VIP seating areas, live saxophonists, electric violin players, and resident and guest DJs playing after midnight, you may find yourself dancing the night away into the early hours.

Exceptional Restaurants and new dining experiences 

There is a reason foodies love Val d’Isère, not only is the cuisine in this French alpine paradise second to none, but it is also constantly evolving. With new places popping up all the time, there is now a great variety of restaurants to choose from. A special new addition to the scene is Matsuhisa, for chef Nobu’s world-renowned Japanese dishes;  An impressive sushi bar, signature dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeño and Black Cod Miso, along with an extensive sake and cocktail menu await you! 

Also new to the scene is Le Piaf, you may have been or heard of this restaurant in the likes of  Paris, Courchevel and Megève, renowned for its sophisticated French cuisine and lively atmosphere (which may even have you dancing on the table tops by the end of the night!).  Another restaurant high on our radar is L’Altiplano 2.0 located in the K2 Chogori hotel, it is well known for its delicious and refined Peruvian-inspired dishes. With the Solaise Gondola now open from 7 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, wrap up and enjoy a meal at nightfall on the mountain; Gigi located in the Refuge de Solaise will welcome you for delicious Italian cuisine whilst you sit fireside and admire the panoramic views.
