Alpine Living – 3 great reasons to choose a seasonal or annual rental

There are many reasons we’ve seen people choosing to settle in the mountains with seasonal and annual rentals.

Outdoor-loving families craving an escape from the hustle and bustle of city living, those considering buying who are test driving life in the mountains, or simply lovers of peace and quiet who relish waking up to fresh air and sweeping views every day. Could an alpine lifestyle be for you? Here are the top 3 reasons more and more people are relocating here, either seasonally or for longer.

1. A chance to try mountain living

Many of our seasonal and annual clients are either dipping their toe in mountain life ahead of purchasing their own property, or are having a chalet built/renovated and need alternative accommodation that feels like home.

Our excellent portfolio of properties available on this basis are welcoming, practical and immaculately furnished; spaces designed to be lived in and enjoyed. You can truly settle in and immerse yourself in the alpine lifestyle in your home-away-from-home, whether you’re spending time working remotely, skiing, or simply making special family memories.

Each Bramble Ski-operated property comes with a personal concierge, who will be on hand to ensure everything runs seamlessly before and during your time there. They are also fountains of knowledge who can offer endless tips and advice, from where the best place is for a morning coffee to recommending activities for the children. You’ll be feeling like a local in no time!

2. Outstanding schooling

Switzerland is home to some of the world’s most exclusive private schools. Some families relocate to the mountains to provide their children with the opportunity to attend one of these institutions, whilst enjoying an active outdoors lifestyle in stunning surroundings, either on a seasonal or more permanent basis.

Verbier itself has two excellent international schools – Verbier International School and Copperfield. Children can immerse themselves in a foreign language surrounded by classmates from around the globe, broadening their horizons and their cultural awareness. They will also develop a true affinity with skiing by practicing consistently throughout the winter, rather than just for the occasional week’s holiday.

3. Do you usually take multiple ski trips per season?

Many of our clients frequent the mountains multiple times per season. A luxury seasonal rental enables them to enjoy a home-away-from-home, without having to re-pack their winter gear for every trip.

With more time and a base in the mountains, you’ll find yourself able to explore terrain you’ve never skied before, improve your technique and to experience the resort not only during the busy peak weeks, but on your own terms.

Even if you choose to split your time between a primary home and your mountain retreat, the resorts in which we operate are all within easy reach of Europe’s major cities, making a ski trip each weekend of the winter season a viable, stress-free option.
