Hiking

The area surrounding Lech boasts some incredible 2000m+ hikes to challenge those who are surefooted and who have a head for heights, including the summits of Spuller Schafberg and Braunarlspitze. Alternatively, take a calm meander along the Lechweg trail, following the twists and turns of the river from the source through the stunning landscape all the way to an impressive waterfall at the end. Hiking trails are clearly marked and colour coded by difficulty, allowing you to explore the scenery at your own pace.

Golf

Lech is home to the highest golf course in Austria, situated at 1500m above sea level, where stunning alpine scenery sets set the backdrop for your game. Designed by landscape architects, the 9-hole, 19-hectare course is harmoniously embedded in the rolling hills of the Zugertal valley, and you’ll be spoiled with jaw-dropping views at every tee. Golf fans should be sure to diarise the “Best of the Alps Golf Tournament”, an international tournament taking place during the summer months at 10 of the Alps’ most beautiful golf courses, including this one.

Swimming

Discover Lech’s tranquil 25m forest swimming pool, nestled amongst the pine trees. It boasts an ‘aquafit’ pool complete with loungers and massage jets for relaxing, a children’s pool, a baby pool and a waterslide. Nearby, you will find table tennis, tennis courts and a beach volleyball court, a spacious playground and plenty of space for a family picnic. Ideal for relaxing on long, lazy summer afternoons when your hiking muscles could do with a soak.

Besides this, there are a plethora of other wellness experiences to discover. There is no better place to recharge your batteries than in the alpine mountains, where the ancient peaks that surround you will encourage you to live fully in the moment. Visitors should take advantage of the exclusive Lech Card, which children 14 and younger can receive for free. With 2 day or 7 day options, you can enjoy a wealth of different services and activities in the area, whether you are on a short break or a longer holiday. You’ll have the opportunity to sign the kids up for a week of alpine activities with the Children’s Adventure Program, bound to provide lasting memories for them. Other perks included with the card are guided e-bike tours and themed hikes, access to the golfing academy, the library and the forest pool, and many other affiliate discounts and deals.

Gastronomy

With 5 gondolas running throughout summer, you can explore the slopes you skied in winter in a new light. This also means access to all of the amazing on-mountain eateries – many of which stay open in summer. Der Wolf is a modern establishment built in 2016, offering regional dishes as well as delicious veggie and vegan options and twists on classics. The perfect pitstop for mountain bikers, hikers and wanderers, complete – it goes without saying – with panoramic views.
